The Next Generation
The Canada-UK Colloquium is committed to fostering meaningful engagement with young people on both sides of the Atlantic and ensuring that their perspectives contribute to the broader dialogue. This commitment is reflected in two key initiatives:
Young and Emerging Leaders’ Forum: A dedicated forum that brings together emerging leaders from Canada and the United Kingdom to explore key issues, exchange ideas, and contribute fresh perspectives to the Colloquium’s discussions.
Graduate Student Participation: Each Colloquium provides opportunities for graduate students to participate in its proceedings and engage directly with established leaders and experts. In Canada, participants are selected through a competitive, merit-based application process with the support of the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy at the University of Toronto. Please click here for the call for applications (2026). We are very grateful to the Institute of Commonwealth Studies at the University of London and the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy at the University of Toronto for their support with these initiatives.
